Chardham is a pilgrimage circuit of four sacred Hindu sites in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. All the dhams are situated on the high altitude areas of the Himalayas. These dhams are Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri.
Kedarnath temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is built by the Adi Guru Shankracharya. It is the most famous Dham among all the dhams.
Badrinath temple is dedicated to the Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand and long the bank of Alaknanda. The temple is constructed by the Adi Guru Shankracharya.
Gangotri temple is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga. The temple is constructed by the Nepalese general Amar Singh Thapa.
Yamunotri temple is also the origin of the river Yamuna. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna. The temple is built by the Nepalese General Amar Singh Thapa.
Tour Package Itinerary
Day – 1 – Haridwar – Janki Chatti ( 8/9 hours / 215 km )
Arrive at the Haridwar, our representative will meet you there. Travel to the Janki Chatti via Barkot from Haridwar. The journey is quite long with full of the scenic view of lush green mountains. After reaching the Janki Chatti check-in the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Janki Chatti.
Day – 2 – Janki Chatti – Yamunotri – Janki Chatti ( 7 km trek)
In the morning after breakfast, we will travel to the Yamunotri temple. You can take the palki/pony from here or cover the distance by walk. After reaching the Yamunotri temple, take a dip on the Yamunotri Kund. Guests can boil the rice in the thermal spring and take away that rice as “Prashad”. After Pooja and darshan, we will be back to the Janki Chatti. Overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel.
Day – 3 – Janki Chatti – Harshil ( 7/8 hours / 210 km)
In the morning, check out from the hotel and proceed to the Harsil. We will provide breakfast in Barkot. After breakfast, we will travel to Harshil. Harsil is known for its natural beauty and snow-capped mountains. Having lunch at Uttarkashi, finally, we will reach Harshil. Check-in the hotel. Overnight stay and dinner will be at the Harshil.
Day – 4 – Harshil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi ( 1 hour / 25 km to Gangotri )
Early in the morning, after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the Gangotri. After reaching the Gangotri temple, perform pooja there. Take a dip into the holy Ganga. After darshan, we will be back to the Uttarkashi via Harshil.
Day – 5 – Uttarkashi – Guptkashi ( 8/9 hours 231km)
Wake up early in the morning, check out from the hotel and proceed to the Guptkashi. Breakfast will be at Chinyalisour. We will visit Tehri Dam. After the Dam visit, we will proceed to the Srinagar. Lunch will be served at Srinagar, and then further we will travel to Guptkashi. Arrive at the Guptkashi and check-in the hotel. Overnight stay and dinner will be at Guptkashi.
Day – 6 – Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath (37 km drive and 15 km trek)
In the morning, after the breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to the Gaurikund via Sonprayag. The trek will start from here. You can take palki from here. The trek will cover 15 km of distance. Arrive at the Kedarnath and check in the hotel. Overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel.
Day – 7 – Kedarnath – Tilwara (65 km drive / 24 km trek)
In the morning, after breakfast, we will visit the Kedarnath temple and perform pooja there. After the darshan, we will trek back to the Gaurikund. Lunch will be served at the Gaurikund. After a good lunch, we will head back to the Tilwara, Rudraprayag by road. Check-in the hotel at Tilwara, Rudraprayag. Overnight stay and diner will be at the hotel.
Day – 8 – Rudraprayag – Badrinath (5/6 hours / 155 km)
In the morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to the Badrinath temple. Breakfast will be served at Gauchar. Joshimath is the home of Shri Badrinath during winters. Joshimath is connected with Auli by highest cable car of Asia. Having lunch here we will proceed to the Badrinath temple. Check-in the hotel and in the evening perform the pooja in Badrinath temple. After the darshan, we will be back at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day – 9 – Badrinath – Karnprayag (5/6 hours / 123 km)
In the morning again we will visit the Badrinath temple. After performing pooja at the temple we will visit India’s last Mana village. Then we will travel back to the Joshimath. We will sightsee the Joshimath city and visit many famous temples in the Joshimath. After the visit, we will be driving back to the Karnprayag. Overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel.
Day – 10 – Karnprayag – Haridwar (6/7 hours / 200 km)
Early in the morning, we will proceed to Haridwar. Breakfast will be at the Gauchar. After having breakfast we will proceed straight to the Haridwar. Arrive at Haridwar our tour will end here.
